Shift Tags give you the option to - as the name says - tag the shifts! If you have any category or label that you would want to mark the shifts with then the tags will enable you to do so. This can be used for various purposes and provides a quick way to group related shifts together and run reports on them later.

How to use Shift Tags?

Add Shift Tags into the System

Firstly, you will need to go to the Scheduling Settings -> Calendar Settings and add Shift Tags that are specific to your company's needs.

Tagging Shifts on Schedule

To add a tag to a shift go to the Schedule page to the Open Shifts area at the top of the calendar and open the shift that you wish to tag. On the left upper corner of the shift dialogue box, you will find a small Tag icon - click on the "+" sign next to the icon to add a Tag.

Next, look up the Tag you want to add and click on it to attach the Tag to the shift after clicking 'Save'.

Please note! You can ONLY add a Shift Tag to an OPEN Shift meaning to a shift that has not been assigned to people yet or at the point of shift creation on an employee!

Reporting by Shift Tags

You can report by a Shift Tag on the Position Coverage report. If you open the report you can use the Tags filter to filter the shifts by a specific tag. The tags have their own separate column and show as small coloured lines depending on which colour you have assigned to a specific tag.

Tags on Shifts List

You can filter by Tags on Shifts List to find all the shifts that have a specific Tag attached to them. You will find the Tags filter under Additional Filters.
