This article will explain how to mark yourself as available or unavailable to work and how it helps you and your employer plan work:
1. How does managing availability work in PARiM?
The functionality is quite simple - you can set yourself as available for the days you want to work or set yourself unavailable if you can't work on certain days.
Besides full days, you can also select a part of the day or multiple dates. You can use both the staff portal and the mobile app for this.
Your employer will see your availability and can consider it when creating the schedule. Additionally, if you are marked unavailable, you won't get notifications about open shifts within the unavailability period.
2. Managing availability in the web portal
Signing in to PARiM via your web browser will take you straight to the calendar page, where you can add both availability and unavailability.
You can also edit and remove an existing availability or unavailability:
3. Managing availability in the PARiM mobile app
Within the app, you can mark yourself as available or unavailable by tapping on the '+' sign in the right-hand corner of the screen. You can find it on the Schedule tab or by tapping More -> Availability.
4. FAQ
The availability functionality seems to be missing in PARiM. Where can I find it?
The availability functionality is optional - your employer can choose to disable it if it doesn't suit their processes.
I marked myself unavailable, but I was assigned a shift anyway?
Setting up unavailability does not automatically mean you will not be given a shift for that time - this is up to your employer to decide.
Can I change past availabilities or unavailabilities?
You can add and edit all the future availabilities and unavailabilities, but cannot change nor add them to the past.
If you are experiencing any problems with managing your availability, you should first contact your employer directly, as PARiM customer support does not directly manage any employees. You can find your employer's contact details by going to "More" > "Contacts" in your PARiM mobile app. If there is a technical problem or a bug, your employer should contact us directly.
