This tab is only available if you have the Assets module activated, which can be done from the Subscription page.

The Assets tab gives you a quick overview of all the assets this specific employee is currently holding and also their asset history which are items that have been in their possession and that they've already returned.

To add an asset to an employee, click on the green 'Add' button in the top right corner.

NB! In order to add an asset to a staff member, it has to be previously inserted into the system on the 'Asset' page. If you have not already done this:

1. Go to the 'Asset' page on your main toolbar.

2. Click on 'Add' in the top right corner. This will take you to a new page where you can fill in details about the item.

3. Fill in all the information about the asset and click 'Save'. The asset should now show up in the Stock list and also in the 'Add' option on your staff member's profile.

So, after you have done that - to add an asset to an employee on their own 'Asset' page, click on the green 'Add' button in the top right corner. This will open a pop-up window where you can select an asset (from the Asset list that you just added an asset to or already had one in) and insert information about it (sign out date, expected return date, notes, deposit etc).

If you wish to assign another asset to this employee right away, click 'Add'. If not, click 'Save' and the item should now show up in the 'Assets - Currently Holding' section.

To 'return' an asset, tick the box before the item you wish to mark as returned and then click on the 'Return' button in the top right corner. This will open a window that will display information about the asset and ask you for confirmation about returning it. If you're sure, click 'OK' and the asset will now show up in the 'Assets - History' section underneath.

Done with assigning assets? Maybe you also want to have a look at the next article about documents.
